Police are searching for a man wearing a surgical mask who attempted to sexually assault a woman at a bus stop in Queens. The brave woman managed to fend off the masked perpetrator at the corner of Woodhaven Boulevard and Hoffman Drive in Elmhurst around 4:30 a.m. on Friday. Initially, the man approached her from behind and struck her, before returning to grab her by the wrists, pushing her against a fence and trying to assault her. The woman fought back, causing the attacker to flee into the Woodhaven Boulevard subway station. Descriptions provided by the authorities portray the suspect as a tall, slender individual with a dark complexion, aged between 20 and 30, seen wearing blue headphones, a surgical mask, a black jacket, camouflage pants, and gray sneakers.
