Border Patrol Agent Guilty of Shocking Behavior Towards Women!

A Border Patrol agent in the United States has pleaded guilty in federal court to instructing multiple women to reveal their breasts during interviews in order to gain entry into the country. Shane Millan, 53, was charged in August 2024 with four counts of deprivation of rights under color of law. Court records show that Millan pleaded guilty to two of the charges at the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of New York on Friday.

According to court documents, Millan confessed to directing the women to display their breasts under the pretense of a legitimate search during virtual processing calls before granting them entry into the country. His sentencing is set for July 7, and he could face up to two years in prison and a fine of up to $200,000.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection declined to comment, citing their policy of not commenting on former employees or ongoing criminal cases. The abuse began around August 10, 2023, when Millan allegedly instructed a woman to expose herself over webcam during an interview. Prosecutors stated that the search was solely for Millan’s gratification.

Subsequently, Millan reportedly used the same tactic with three other women on August 25, 2023. Court records also revealed that Millan searched for phrases in Spanish on his government computer to use during these incidents.

Millan’s attorney did not provide an immediate response to the guilty plea. For more trending news, contact Fernando Cervantes Jr. at fernando.cervantes@gannett.com or follow him on Twitter @fern_cerv_.
