Bold ultimatum issued by secretive country to U.S.

In a report by state media KCNA on Saturday, North Korea conveyed a firm message to the United States, stating that if concerns regarding their mainland safety persist, the U.S. should cease its military threats. The comments were attributed to an official at North Korea’s defense ministry. The KCNA report highlighted remarks made by the head of U.S. Northern Command about North Korea’s capability to target the U.S. mainland with intercontinental ballistic missiles (ICBMs). According to the report, it was emphasized that the United States was the party engaging in confrontational actions, including the planning of military exercises with South Korea and the deployment of a nuclear submarine to the Korean Peninsula. North Korea asserted its sovereign right to enhance its self-defense capabilities, as mentioned in the report. This latest development underscores the ongoing tensions between the two nations.
