Bluey Characters Set to Enchant Disney Parks and Cruises Ahead of 2027 Movie Premiere!

Pluto and Goofy will soon be welcoming new furry friends at the Disney parks and cruises as the beloved Bluey and the Heeler family make their debut next month! On December 19, Disney delighted fans by announcing that characters from the popular Bluey series will be joining the lineup at the Disney Cruise Line, as well as at the Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World theme parks.

The news was met with excitement from fans as Ludo Studio, the Australian animation studio behind Bluey in collaboration with the BBC, expressed their joy in a press release shared with PEOPLE. “It’s a lovely day to go boat riding and we’re incredibly excited that Bluey and Bingo will be sailing on Disney Cruises, bringing Bluey’s magic to families on the high seas!”

Families setting sail on Disney Cruise Line voyages originating from Australia and New Zealand starting in January can look forward to encountering their favorite cattle dog characters. Passengers will be treated to special meet-and-greets, interactive games, and a dance party featuring Bluey’s iconic dance moves, among other engaging activities.

Further details on how guests can engage with the lovable Bluey characters during their cruise experience will be revealed in the coming months. CEO of BBC Studios, Brands, and Licensing, Nicki Sheard, shared her excitement about the Heeler family’s upcoming appearances at Disney Theme Parks and Cruises, describing it as the cherry on top of a fantastic year for Bluey. “We are committed to creating the very best-in-class experiences for our fans and can’t wait to open the doors to families next year.”

Disney Experiences chairman Josh D’Amaro also expressed his enthusiasm, stating that Bluey has become a household name worldwide, and they are thrilled to witness young guests and their families making memories with Bluey across Disney parks and cruises.

In a recent development, it was announced on Good Morning America that the Disney+ series Bluey will be making its way to the big screen in 2027. Series creator Joe Brumm shared his excitement, expressing his belief that Bluey deserved a theatrical movie, promising it to be an experiential event for families to enjoy together. While plot details remain under wraps, the movie’s voice cast will feature Melanie Zanetti and David McCormack as Bluey’s parents Chilli and Bandit, with Joff Bush creating new music for the film.

The animated show, which gained immense popularity and was the most-watched series globally on the platform, follows the adventures of Bluey, a lively and playful blue heeler dog, along with her family and friends. Bluey’s energy and creativity lead to engaging and hilarious games that involve her family and the neighborhood, creating a world of fun and laughter for all involved.

With the anticipation building for Bluey’s expansion into Disney parks and cruises, fans are eagerly awaiting the chance to interact with the Heeler family in person and create lasting memories with their beloved characters.
