Blake Lively and Anna Kendrick made a stunning appearance at the 2025 SXSW Film & TV Festival in Austin, Texas for the premiere of Another Simple Favor. The highly anticipated sequel to 2018’s A Simple Favor brought the two stars back together with director Paul Feig.
Lively graced the red carpet in a vintage-inspired latex two-piece by Renée Massoomian. Her strapless pale pink dress featured a corset-style bodice with a black lace border on the ankle-length skirt. Accentuated with a narrow black belt, she completed her look with black open-toe heels adorned with fabric flowers and statement rings. Lively later covered her outfit with a matching vinyl cardigan in a vibrant pink hue, adding a classic touch with pin curls in her partly up hairdo.
On the other hand, Kendrick opted for an all-black ensemble, pairing a plunging bodice with black pants designed by LaQuan Smith. Her platform shoes peeked out from under the hem of her pants as she accessorized with statement necklaces and wore her hair down in gentle waves.
The film, Another Simple Favor, continues the story of Emily and Stephanie, played by Lively and Kendrick, respectively. Emily, released from prison, invites Stephanie to her wedding in Capri, Italy, expecting her friend to take on the role of maid of honor. The star-studded cast includes Andrew Rannells, Bashir Salahuddin, Elizabeth Perkins, Michele Morrone, Alex Newell, Henry Golding, and Allison Janney. Fans can catch the film on Prime Video starting May 1st.
