The Accountant 2 Premiere: Ben Affleck’s Dancing Stunt
At the SXSW premiere of The Accountant 2, Ben Affleck shared that the most challenging “stunt” he had to tackle for the action sequel was learning choreography. Affleck humorously revealed that months of training for line dancing were his toughest feat in the movie. He even jokingly compared his dancing skills to Tom Cruise, claiming superiority in line dancing.
The film features Affleck reprising his role as Christian Wolff, an autistic accountant who freelances for criminals. A standout scene shows Christian awkwardly trying to flirt with a woman at a bar, but ultimately winning her over on the dance floor with his newfound line dancing prowess.
In addition to his dancing skills, Affleck received praise from his co-star Jon Bernthal for their on-screen chemistry as adult brothers in the sequel. Bernthal expressed admiration for Affleck as both a person and an artist, highlighting the joy of working together.
Directed by Gavin O’Connor, The Accountant 2 brings back screenwriter Bill Dubuque and stars Cynthia Addai-Robinson and J.K. Simmons. The movie is set to premiere in theaters on April 25.
