"After 10 years of modeling, I realized that I had put so much energy, love and effort into my career and it wasn't paying off in the long run," Hadid said.

"FOR THE FIRST TIME I'M NOT WEARING A FAKE FACE"

Hadid, who worked for world-famous brands and quickly became one of the best names in the fashion industry, recently moved to Texas.

The model, who stepped into a quieter life with her lover Adan Banuelos, made the following statements:

"For the first time I'm not wearing a fake face. If I don't feel good, I don't go out. If I don't feel good, I take time for myself. And I've never had the opportunity to do or say that before."

"Now when someone sees me in photos and says I look happy, I know I really am. I feel better," Hadid continued.

The star, who preferred not to share about her private life, talked about her struggle with Lyme disease on her social media account last year.

Bella Hadid shared her treatment process with the photos she posted on her social media account.

Hadid said, "The universe works in the most painful and beautiful way, but I have to say that if you fight, it will get better. I promise, take a step away, be strong, believe in your path, walk your truth and the clouds will start to clear. I am so thankful for my outlook on life, this 100+ days of Lyme, chronic illness, co-infection treatment, almost 15 years of invisible pain, has made it all worth it that if I can, I will spend a lifetime spreading and being love from a full glass."

"For the first time I can really be myself," said the famous model, "I tried to choose the most positive pictures I could because as painful as this experience was, the result was the most enlightening experience of my life, full of new friends, new visions and a new brain."
