Barbra Streisand Demands More The Meet the Fockers Salary Dispute!

Barbra Streisand, known for her roles in “Meet the Fockers” (2004) and “Little Fockers” (2010), recently discussed being paid less than her co-stars on the “Just for Variety” podcast. In a potential return for the fourth film in the “Meet the Parents” series, Streisand expressed that she would require a substantial payment due to the pay disparity in her previous appearances. Streisand, now 83, shared her disappointment at being paid less than her male counterparts, emphasizing the importance of fair compensation.

Streisand, who last appeared in the film “The Guilt Trip” in 2012, is considering a return to the franchise alongside stars like Ben Stiller, Robert De Niro, Blythe Danner, and Teri Polo. Universal, the studio behind the series, has not commented on Streisand’s statements. Streisand portrayed the eccentric mother Roz Focker in “Meet the Fockers,” where she starred alongside Dustin Hoffman and reprised her role in “Little Fockers.”

In her memoir “My Name Is Barbra” published in 2023, Streisand had previously revealed her disappointment when she discovered the pay gap between her and Dustin Hoffman. Despite this, she received a bonus from Ron Meyer, the head of Universal at the time, as a gesture of recognition for the disparity.

Ariana Grande is set to join the cast of the upcoming “Meet the Parents 4,” marking her return to the big screen since her role in “Wicked” last year. Details about Grande’s character in the new film have yet to be disclosed, but Ben Stiller hinted at her playing a pivotal and comedic role in the movie during an interview on the Today show.
