According to CNN, the Danish Prime Minister's Office announced that Prime Minister Frederiksen was attacked by a person in Kultorvet Square in Copenhagen.
The attacker was detained, the statement said.
The statement said Frederiksen was shocked by the attack, but did not provide information on how the suspect attacked and whether the Prime Minister was injured.
