Arizona Teen Arrested After Toddler Brother Finds His Gun and Blows Off Hand!

A toddler in Arizona accidentally shot himself in the hand with his brother’s gun, leading to charges being filed against the brother. The incident took place on March 3 at a residence in Tucson, where the 2-year-old found a gun belonging to his teenage half-brother, as reported by the Pima County Sheriff’s Department. Jeremiah Vaughn, 19, has been arrested and charged with domestic violence child abuse in connection to the incident. According to Deputy Adam Schoonover of the PCSD, the investigation revealed that Vaughn had left the firearm within the child’s reach, resulting in the child gaining access to the weapon and unintentionally discharging it. Vaughn has been booked into the Pima County Adult Detention Complex with bail set at $2500, which he has posted. He is scheduled to appear in court on Friday. Additionally, the Department of Child Safety is conducting its own investigation into the matter. Requests for comment from Vaughn’s public defender in a separate shoplifting case were not answered.
