Apple’s Next Move Specialized Chips for Smart Glasses and AI Servers!

Apple is reportedly working on specialized chips for upcoming devices such as smart glasses, AI servers, and new MacBooks, according to a Bloomberg News report. The company is making progress on the chip designed for smart glasses, aiming to compete with Meta Platforms’ popular Ray-Ban glasses. In addition to this, Apple is developing processors for future Macs and AI servers to power the Apple Intelligence platform. These efforts signal Apple’s commitment to the AI market by incorporating on-device AI features in its latest iPhones through Apple Intelligence. The company has already introduced custom-designed modem chips for iPhones and is now focusing on creating energy-efficient chips for its smart glasses, leveraging technology from the Apple Watch. These chips are expected to be manufactured by TSMC and could enter mass production by the end of next year or in 2027. If successful, the smart glasses may hit the market within the next two years. Apple is also reportedly working on new Mac chips, potentially named M6 and M7. Apple has yet to respond to requests for comment on these developments.
