Apple’s Bold Move Reshuffling AI Executives to Revamp Siri!

According to a report by Bloomberg News on Thursday, Apple is reorganizing its top leadership to refocus its artificial intelligence (AI) efforts following significant delays. Some upgrades to the Siri voice assistant will be postponed until 2026, as announced by Apple earlier this month without specifying the reasons for the setbacks.

Mike Rockwell, who currently leads the Vision Products Group, will now oversee Apple’s Siri virtual assistant, taking over from AI chief John Giannandrea. CEO Tim Cook has reportedly expressed concerns about Giannandrea’s ability to deliver on product development. Rockwell, renowned for his work on the Vision Pro headset, will now report to software chief Craig Federighi, effectively removing Siri from Giannandrea’s supervision.

In addition, Paul Meade, an executive who previously managed hardware engineering for the Vision Pro under Rockwell, will assume control of the Vision Products Group. Apple has not yet responded to requests for comment on the Bloomberg report.

Last year, Apple introduced a set of AI-powered features known as Apple Intelligence, offering new functionalities like email rewriting and inbox organization.
