Anthony Hopkins, the star of cult films such as "Silence of the Lambs" and "Hannibal" and winner of two Oscars, is preparing to give life to an iconic character from the world of classical music.

"The King of Covent Garden", directed by Andrew Levitas, is expected to be released in 2025.

Hopkins will give life to German-British baroque composer George Frideric Handel in the movie written by Tim Slover.

The movie will deal with the period when Handel, who was active in the 18th century, was working on his famous choral masterpiece "Messiah".
