Adam Frazier seals victory with an unpredictable twist!

In the tenth inning of Friday night’s game, Adam Frazier’s swift run home on a wild pitch by Abner Uribe secured a 6-5 victory for the Pittsburgh Pirates against the Milwaukee Brewers.

Earlier in the inning, the Pirates had tied the game with an RBI single by Alexander Canario off Uribe. Although Canario appeared to have scored the winning run on a single by Isiah Kiner-Falefa, he was called out at home for sliding outside the baseline to avoid the tag by catcher William Contreras. Frazier seized the opportunity, scoring the winning run three pitches later when Uribe’s pitch went past Contreras to the backstop.

Pittsburgh’s ace, Paul Skenes, had a strong outing, allowing just one run in six innings and recording eight strikeouts. Oneil Cruz’s two home runs, including a game-tying shot in the ninth inning, energised the Pirates. Frazier and Andrew McCutchen both got multiple hits, while Bryan Reynolds drove in two runs. Ryan Borucki earned the win despite conceding a run in the tenth inning.

For the Brewers, Christian Yelich, Jackson Chourio and Rhys Hoskins each had two hits, while Contreras hit a homer in the ninth. Cruz’s outstanding performance was a highlight of the game, providing a much-needed boost for the Pirates.

Looking ahead, Quinn Priester will start for the Pirates on Saturday, facing his former team for the first time. Mitch Keller will start for Pittsburgh in their next game.
