Kim Delaney, known for her role as Detective Diane Russell on NYPD Blue, has been arrested for felony assault following an alleged domestic disturbance. The 63-year-old actress was taken into custody on Saturday, March 29, at her Los Angeles residence along with her partner James Morgan. The arrest was made after a reported physical altercation during a heated argument.
Both Delaney and Morgan were detained by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department and are currently in custody, facing charges related to the incident. Delaney is specifically charged with assault with a deadly weapon, while Morgan is facing allegations of domestic violence.
The next court appearance for Delaney is set for Tuesday, April 1, with a bail amount of $20,000 for Morgan, who was arrested slightly earlier than Delaney on the same day. Delaney, who portrayed a detective in numerous episodes of NYPD Blue from 1995 to 2003, has received critical acclaim for her work on the show, including winning an Emmy in 1997.
