According to Bild newspaper, the 3.5-kilogram meteorite fell in the middle of Şahin's garden after a fireball flashed over the city in April.

After the meteorite was analyzed and found to be 4.5 billion years old, collectors who wanted to buy it started making offers of up to 200,000 euros to Şahin.

Physicists and astronomers who examined the stone, which Şahin exhibited at a mining fair in Munich, valued the meteorite at around 400,000 euros.

According to the news report, negotiations are ongoing between Şahin and a museum in Hamburg, and Şahin wants to turn the money from the sale into an investment.
