Beyoncé is set to illuminate the Houston night this Christmas with a halftime spectacle during the Ravens-Texans game, exclusively on Netflix. The live event will take place on December 25, and for those unable to tune in live, a replay will be available on Netflix for a limited time.
The Queen Bey’s Christmas performance promises to showcase her first live renditions of tracks from “Cowboy Carter.” Taking the stage in her hometown during halftime of the Baltimore Ravens-Houston Texans matchup at NRG Stadium in Houston, Beyoncé is sure to captivate audiences worldwide.
In a significant move towards live sports content, Netflix has secured global rights to the NFL’s two Christmas Day 2024 games, starting with the Kansas City Chiefs facing off against the Pittsburgh Steelers at 1 p.m. ET, followed by the Ravens-Texans game at 4:30 p.m. ET.
According to the terms of the agreement between Netflix and the NFL in the U.S., the two Christmas games will be available for viewing on the platform for three hours after the live stream concludes. For international viewers, the games will remain on Netflix for 24 hours post-stream. Notably, ad breaks will be included in the NFL livestreams, even for subscribers on ad-free Netflix plans.
While details regarding Beyoncé’s Christmas halftime show are currently scarce, Netflix has hinted at the possibility of special guest appearances by artists featured on “Cowboy Carter.” With her extensive experience, having headlined two Super Bowl halftime shows in the past, Beyoncé is expected to deliver a memorable performance.
On Christmas Day, Netflix’s pregame coverage will commence at 11 a.m. ET, featuring Mariah Carey delivering a pre-recorded rendition of her iconic holiday hit, “All I Want for Christmas Is You.” Viewers who miss the initial NFL livestreams on Netflix can catch reruns on NFL Network, with scheduled re-airs for both games. Additionally, replays will be accessible with an NFL+ Premium subscription in the U.S. and through DAZN internationally.
Furthermore, the Netflix Christmas Day games will be broadcast on television in the local markets of the competing teams and will be available for live streaming on U.S. mobile devices with an NFL+ subscription.
