Josh Allen’s Injury Shock! Bills QB Suffers Blow to Right Throwing Hand vs Patriots!

Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen played through significant discomfort during a recent game against the New England Patriots, adding to his list of injuries this season. Allen, who had been dealing with a broken left hand, experienced an injury scare to his right hand during the game against the Patriots.

The incident occurred in the third quarter when Allen scrambled for 7 yards and was tackled by Patriots linebacker Yannick Ngakoue. As Allen hit the ground, his right elbow made contact with Ngakoue’s helmet, causing immediate concern as Allen got up holding his throwing hand.

Allen struggled with numbness in his hand, leading to a misfire on a crucial third-down play. In a postgame press conference, Allen explained, “Hit the funny bone nerve and went to throw and just had no feeling in the hand.” Despite the discomfort, Allen did not miss any plays, staying on the field to lead his team.

CBS sideline reporter Evan Washburn later reported that the lack of sensation in Allen’s hand was not expected to be a serious or limiting issue. Allen described the sensation as a loss of feeling in his hand due to hitting his funny bone and needing time to restore blood flow and activation.

Fortunately for Allen, a longer drive by the Patriots’ offense allowed him the time to warm up his hand on the sideline. This opportunity to regain feeling prevented any immediate need for him to sit out plays.

This was not the first time Allen had experienced discomfort in his throwing hand. In a previous victory over the San Francisco 49ers, he had hit his left funny bone, causing a sensation akin to his hand being “on fire.” Additionally, Allen had undergone X-rays on his right shoulder after a fall in a previous game against the Detroit Lions.

Throughout the game against the Patriots, Allen was seen testing and shaking his hand on the sideline, indicating ongoing discomfort. However, he managed to continue playing, showcasing his toughness and determination to lead his team.

The Bills’ quarterback has displayed resilience in the face of various injuries this season, including playing through a broken left hand and managing discomfort in his right hand. Despite these challenges, Allen has remained on the field, determined to contribute to his team’s success.

Josh Allen’s ability to persevere through adversity and play through pain highlights his dedication to his team and his commitment to overcoming obstacles. As the Bills move forward in the season, Allen’s resilience will be crucial in their pursuit of success on the field.
