Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, shared a peek into her St. Patrick’s Day celebration with her family on March 17. The 43-year-old Duchess, along with Prince Harry and their two children – 5-year-old son Prince Archie and 3-year-old daughter Princess Lilibet, were seen on her Instagram Stories preparing a festive breakfast. The videos showcased Meghan stirring green batter and cooking green waffles in a waffle maker, creatively decorating them with fruits for the kids.
Prince Harry, 40, had previously mentioned on The Late Late Show that Queen Elizabeth had gifted Archie a waffle maker for Christmas when he was a toddler. Meghan and Harry incorporated this gift into their morning routine, with Meghan making organic waffle mixes for their son, who eagerly awaited his breakfast treat.
The family’s St. Patrick’s Day festivities also included green drinks for both adults and children, as Meghan showcased in another video on her Instagram. The Duchess often shares glimpses of their family meals, including a Valentine’s Day breakfast earlier, where she prepared heart-shaped strawberries on a red swirl bagel with her children’s help.
In a recent interview with PEOPLE, Meghan revealed details about their daily routine in California, where she enjoys making breakfast for her family, including fried eggs and bacon. She also emphasized that sometimes a quick frozen waffle in the toaster is perfectly fine for busy mornings.
