Joe Russo Reveals Harvey Weinstein’s Blockbuster Vendetta!

Director Joe Russo of “Avengers: Endgame” points the finger at Harvey Weinstein for blocking big-budget blockbusters from awards season recognition. In an interview with The Sunday Times, Russo claims that Weinstein initiated a trend that excluded high-grossing films from major awards by favoring art films for Oscar campaigns. According to Russo, Weinstein’s campaigns vilified mainstream movies, leading to a shift in how audiences perceive the Oscars. He criticizes the divisive nature of the film industry, attributing plummeting profits and the threat of AI to Hollywood’s lack of unity and compromise. Russo also defends Marvel movies, stating that they have helped sustain cinemas despite criticism that they were detrimental to the film industry. Alongside his brother Anthony, Russo has directed successful blockbusters such as “Avengers: Infinity War” and “Captain America: Civil War.” The Russo Brothers are set to direct upcoming Marvel films like “Avengers: Doomsday” and “Avengers: Secret Wars.”
