Megan Stalter’s Unfiltered Take on Ozempic Id Rather Be 50!

At the Critics Choice Awards in February 2025, Megan Stalter, the Hacks star, shared her thoughts on the type 2 diabetes drug Ozempic, which some people have turned to for weight loss. Speaking on Grindr’s Who’s the A—— podcast with Katya Zamolodchikova, the RuPaul’s Drag Race alum, Stalter expressed skepticism about those who try to hide their use of Ozempic. She pointed out that the drug’s side effects, such as frequent trips to the bathroom, are usually quite noticeable. Stalter emphasized that she would prefer not to deal with such side effects, even if it meant being heavier.

Ozempic, an FDA-approved injectable drug containing semaglutide, is commonly used to treat diabetes, kidney disease, and obesity. While its primary purpose is medical, some individuals have controversially utilized it for weight loss. Reported side effects of Ozempic include diarrhea, constipation, nausea, and stomach pain.

Stalter and Katya discussed the idea of intentionally using drugs to induce weight loss, with Stalter emphasizing that unless there is a medical need, she doesn’t see the point in using a drug to experience uncomfortable side effects just to shed a few pounds. Katya chimed in, recalling stories of people experiencing digestive issues after using Ozempic.

The conversation shed light on the complexities surrounding the off-label use of drugs like Ozempic for weight loss and the potential risks associated with this practice.
