WARSAW, Poland (AP) — After recently gaining Polish citizenship, U.S. actor and director Jesse Eisenberg received a light-hearted offer from Poland’s prime minister for military training to help him secure the “new James Bond role.” Poland’s president granted citizenship to Eisenberg earlier this month due to his Polish heritage. Prime Minister Donald Tusk shared a video on social media platform X, where he jokingly suggested training Eisenberg for the coveted spy role after watching a clip of the actor on NBC’s The Tonight Show. Despite Eisenberg’s initial humorous reaction to mandatory military training for males in Poland, Tusk reassured him that such training is voluntary and invited him to experience it firsthand in Poland. Tusk also mentioned the government’s plans to increase military readiness by expanding reservist numbers and implementing annual military training for volunteers starting in 2027.
