Infosys Resolves Cyber Lawsuits with US Unit for $175 Million!

Indian IT services provider Infosys announced on Friday that it has reached a settlement with the plaintiffs of lawsuits against its U.S. unit related to a cyber incident in 2023. Infosys McCamish Systems has agreed to pay $17.5 million into a fund to resolve all pending class action lawsuits and address the allegations stemming from the incident. In November 2023, Infosys disclosed that Infosys McCamish Systems was affected by a cyber security event, causing disruptions to certain applications and systems. In April of last year, Infosys reported that McCamish, working with its third-party vendor eDiscovery, identified up to 6.5 million individuals whose information was compromised in the incident.
