Breon Allen Jr. tragically lost his life while walking home with Lafayette Mango after being caught in a failed drive-by shooting. Four individuals associated with a Florida gang have been charged with the murder of the 7-year-old boy. The suspects, identified as Keith Fields, Dannel Larkins, Zharod Sykes, and Keith Johnson, were apprehended in connection with the heartbreaking incident that took place on January 24, as revealed by Jacksonville County Sheriff TK Waters.
The shooting, which resulted in Breon’s death and injuries to Lafayette Mango, was described by the sheriff as a deliberate and premeditated act stemming from escalating tensions between rival gangs. The perpetrators specifically targeted a rival gang member, mistakenly shooting Breon in the process.
The four suspects are facing charges of second-degree murder, conspiracy to commit murder, and attempted first-degree murder. Sheriff Waters emphasized that additional individuals are believed to have been involved in the crime and issued a stern warning that they will be pursued and brought to justice.
Breon’s parents, Casheena Love and Breon Allen Sr., expressed gratitude to the community and law enforcement for their support in seeking justice for their son.
