Shocking Revelation Niece and Grandniece Charged with 28-Year-Old Murder!

Cold Case Murder Reveals Family Secrets
After nearly 30 years, two relatives of an 81-year-old widow have been arrested and charged in connection with her brutal murder over a $40,000 inheritance. Gerthie Carolina was viciously attacked in her home in Sasakwa, Oklahoma in August 1997, just months after finalizing her will. The case remained unsolved until it was reopened in 2023, leading to the arrest of Carolyn Foreman, 81, and Dakota Davis, 45.
Foreman and Davis, Carolina’s niece and grandniece, are accused of killing her and staging the scene to make it appear as if she had died of natural causes. Investigators discovered Carolina’s blood on a shoe taken as evidence on the day of the crime. The motive behind the murder was the desire to expedite the inheritance process, as Carolina had named Foreman as the beneficiary of a significant sum.
The accused relatives allegedly cashed out the trust shortly after Carolina’s death. Despite claiming to have found Carolina deceased in the early hours of the morning, the autopsy revealed that she had been stabbed and beaten. Davis reportedly confessed to the crime multiple times over the years, even detailing the use of a weapon.
Foreman, who is suffering from dementia, has a history of criminal involvement, having been previously charged with a separate murder. The relentless pursuit of justice by investigators has finally brought some closure to Carolina’s family after decades of uncertainty.
