Escape Artist Giraffe! Curious Young Giraffe Breaks Out of Arizona Zoo to Seek Adventure!

Zoo visitors were captivated by a daring escape by a giraffe at Reid Park Zoo in Tucson, Arizona. On March 5, Msituni, a three-year-old female reticulated giraffe, made a surprise escape from her enclosure just before opening time, delaying the park’s opening by 90 minutes. Msituni hopped over the fence, took a leisurely stroll, and enjoyed nibbling on a mesquite tree before zoo staff safely guided her back with snacks and treats. The zoo assured that there was no danger to other animals or visitors during the incident. Msituni’s playful escapade was her introduction to the zoo as a new resident, joining giraffes Penny, Jasiri, and Moyo. The zoo plans to make modifications to ensure the safety of all its inhabitants.
