Shooting at Concert Leaves 2 Seriously Injured

A shooting incident occurred at a concert featuring Boosie Badazz in Akron, Ohio, resulting in two individuals sustaining critical injuries. Reports from the Akron Police Department, as relayed by NBC’s WKYC, indicate that a confrontation during the performance at FieldHouse Lounge escalated when an unidentified male suspect fired multiple shots at the victims before fleeing the scene.

Off-duty uniformed officers providing security at the concert requested backup around 2:00 a.m. local time. Both WKYC and CBS’s WOIO confirmed that two men, aged 18 and 36, were discovered with apparent gunshot wounds and were rushed to the hospital in critical condition. Another man, aged 25, later arrived at a nearby medical facility with a gunshot graze.

The identity of the individuals involved has not been disclosed. Deputy Chief Michael Miller of the Akron Police Department informed TMZ that the shooter managed to evade detection, with at least one shot being fired while the rapper Boosie Badazz, 42, was on stage performing “Wipe Me Down.” Footage circulating on social media captures the moment when Boosie abruptly leaves the stage following a loud noise.

Efforts to reach the Akron Police Department and Boosie’s representative for comment have not yielded responses. FieldHouse Lounge expressed sorrow over the incident, extending sympathies to the victims and their families. The venue apologized to patrons for any distress caused, emphasizing their ongoing dedication to guest safety and security.

This incident follows a previous shooting in August at the outdoor concert “The Pull Up Car Show and Music Fest,” where Boosie also appeared. The shooting resulted in the deaths of two Nebraska men, identified as Marcus L. Johnson, 28, and Charles A. Williams Jr., 27, according to the Iowa Department of Public Safety.
