Former world heavyweight boxing champion Tyson Fury and former Manchester United forward Wayne Rooney will be coaching an England squad comprising athletes and celebrities for Soccer Aid 2025 at Old Trafford in Manchester, England. The charity match, organized by UNICEF, will see England facing off against a World XI on June 15 at the iconic stadium. Notable figures such as Jill Scott and Steph Houghton from England Women’s team, Louis Tomlinson of One Direction, singer Tom Grennan, Olympic champion Mo Farah, former England goalkeeper Joe Hart, and ex-Italy defender Leonardo Bonucci are among the confirmed participants for the event established by pop star Robbie Williams in 2006. Additionally, former Manchester United players Gary Neville and Paul Scholes will be present at Old Trafford, with Rooney taking on the dual role of player-manager. UNICEF has raised over £106 million ($137 million) through the Soccer Aid matches, supporting children across the globe with essential programs such as food aid, healthcare, safe environments, and crisis assistance. Fury expressed his enthusiasm for leading his England team to success, likening the experience to a thrilling boxing match, and expressed his excitement about managing alongside his hero, Rooney, at their beloved Old Trafford stadium.
