A Florida teenager was arrested and charged in connection with online threats to “shoot up” a high school. The 17-year-old was apprehended after a video surfaced showing him threatening to attack Seminole High School. He has been charged with making threats of a mass shooting or terrorist act. The teenager, a student at Elevation High School, was arrested at his residence without incident. Following an anonymous tip, law enforcement discovered the video showing multiple guns. However, upon searching the teenager’s home, they found airsoft weapons and gear instead. The police chief commended the collaborative effort of various agencies in preventing a potential tragedy. One school shooting has occurred in the United States this year, in Nashville, where one student was killed.
