Emotional Plea Sparks Support for Beloved Show

Very few shows have been able to make a comeback after being canceled once, let alone twice, but S.W.A.T. has defied the odds. Shemar Moore, known for his role as Daniel “Hondo” Harrelson on the popular CBS series, is hoping for a miraculous third revival. In a heartfelt message to his fans on Instagram, Shemar expresses his gratitude to CBS while also voicing his belief that canceling S.W.A.T. prematurely was a mistake.

He reassures fans of the show, stating, “The S.W.A.T. family is not done fighting crime. We still have helicopter chases, motorcycle pursuits, car chases, and explosions to deliver… But if the journey comes to an end, we are thankful. Nothing lasts forever, and we understand that. However, hey Netflix, consider picking us up.”

Shemar’s plea to Netflix to save S.W.A.T. for a ninth season is backed by the show’s success on the streaming platform. He appeals directly to Netflix, highlighting the series’ rapid climb to the top charts and extended presence in their popular rankings.

If Netflix declines, Shemar extends his invitation to ABC, NBC, and FOX, playfully suggesting a partnership by saying, “Want to join the fun? You’re welcome to the party, choose your favorite spot, and I’ll foot the bill, alright?”

Closing his message with gratitude towards CBS once more, Shemar expresses readiness to gracefully move on, spend time with his daughter, and embrace what lies ahead. Fans share his enthusiasm for a potential ninth season, expressing strong opposition to the idea of canceling the show and urging for its continuation.

Despite the uncertainty, viewers can enjoy the remaining episodes of Season 8, airing on CBS on Friday nights at 10 p.m. ET/PT and streaming the following day on Paramount+.
