Uncertain Future for Revived TV Show

Kelsey Grammer is eager for more Frasier and hopes to collaborate with Ted Danson once again. In a recent interview with the New York Post, Grammer shared that he and Danson have been discussing potential ideas for a reunion on Frasier. Despite their long hiatus after Cheers ended in 1993, the two actors have reconciled and are keen to work together again. However, their plans face a setback as Paramount+ recently canceled the Frasier revival that had been announced in 2023.

The revival brought Frasier back to Boston, but with a new cast lineup. Grammer is determined to find a new platform for the show, believing it deserves a passionate audience. While a revival of Cheers seems unlikely, Grammer is hopeful for other former cast members to make appearances in a potential third season of Frasier, including Shelley Long as Diane.

Reflecting on his past issues with Danson, Grammer explained that it stemmed from personal struggles he was facing at the time. He acknowledged Danson’s concerns about his commitment to work and expressed regret over any misunderstandings that may have occurred. Despite the challenges, both actors are open to exploring opportunities for future collaborations.

If characters are granted the chance to reunite on screen, they must navigate their own thirty-year silence. Check out the original article on Entertainment Weekly for more information.
