Secret Service Shoots Armed Man Near White House!

An armed man was shot by US Secret Service personnel outside the White House in Washington, DC, on Sunday morning, as announced by the agency. President Donald Trump was not present at the White House during the incident. The Secret Service received information about a “suicidal individual” traveling from Indiana to DC. Upon locating a person matching the description near the White House, an armed confrontation ensued when the individual brandished a firearm. The person was taken to the hospital, and their condition is currently unknown. The Secret Service confirmed that none of their personnel were injured in the confrontation. The DC Metropolitan Police received a “BOLO” alert from Indiana police regarding a 27-year-old man possibly armed and emotionally disturbed, heading to the DC area with intentions of suicide by cop. The man was confronted just outside the White House by officers, where he pointed a gun at himself and then at the law enforcement agents before shots were fired. An additional rifle was found in the man’s car. The DC Metropolitan Police’s Internal Affairs Division Force Investigations Team will lead the investigation. The Metropolitan Police Department stated they have no further details at this time.
