A man climbed up the Elizabeth Tower, also known as “Big Ben,” and stood barefoot on a ledge holding a Palestinian flag. Emergency services were called to the Palace of Westminster in London on Saturday as the man, dressed in all black, clung to the side of the iconic clock tower. The fire brigade attempted to communicate with him as crowds gathered on Parliament Square below. Westminster Bridge was closed in both directions due to the incident. In a separate protest, activists vandalized one of Donald Trump’s golf courses in Scotland, expressing opposition to his plans regarding the Gaza Strip. The group responsible, Palestine Action, painted “GAZA IS NOT 4 SALE” on the lawn of the Trump-owned Turnberry golf resort. Trump’s statements about redeveloping Gaza have sparked controversy, with some interpreting his words as a threat to take over the region. Police in Scotland are investigating the reports of damage at Turnberry, one of Trump’s prominent golf properties.
