Ex Arrested After Woman’s Body Found in Suitcase
Law enforcement sources reported that a woman’s ex-boyfriend is currently in police custody following the discovery of her body in a suitcase in Yonkers, New York. Pamela Alcantara, 26, was found deceased in a marshy area near Saw Mill River Parkway after being reported missing over the weekend.
The NYPD confirmed Alcantara’s death at the scene, while her 46-year-old ex-boyfriend is detained without any charges related to her demise at this time. Refusing to cooperate with authorities, he was in a relationship with Alcantara for three years before she ended it recently, according to her family.
Living together in her Bronx apartment, detectives sought to question him regarding her disappearance earlier this week. His vehicle was tracked to the location where the suitcase containing Alcantara’s body was found. The man initially misled investigators, claiming she left in a hurry with a suitcase, but evidence proved otherwise.
The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner will determine the cause of Alcantara’s death, as the investigation continues into the circumstances surrounding her tragic demise. ABC News’ reporting contributed to this information.
