Man Arrested for Making Terroristic Threats Against Manhattan Synagogue

A 23-year-old man from Utah, Luis Ramirez, was charged with making terroristic threats against Central Synagogue in Manhattan. Ramirez, who was arrested while trying to enter Manhattan through the Lincoln Tunnel, allegedly made online threats to shoot up the synagogue. His posts, which included disturbing statements and references to Adolf Hitler, were reported by the Community Security Initiative. Ramirez appeared in court and was granted a psychological exam due to reported mental health disorders. If convicted, he could face up to 15 years in prison.
