Chilling Roommate Texts Reveal Idaho Student Murders!

“Shocking Details Revealed in Idaho College Student Murders”
Recently unsealed court documents shed light on the tragic case of four University of Idaho students who were discovered murdered in a house off-campus in November 2022. Among the revelations were text messages and a 911 transcript, showing two surviving roommates discussing a masked individual seen leaving the residence. The harrowing events unfolded in the early hours of November 13, 2022, claiming the lives of roommates Madison Mogen, Kaylee Goncalves, and Xana Kernodle, along with Ethan Chapin, Kernodle’s boyfriend, who were all found fatally stabbed in Moscow, Idaho. Identified as B.F. and D.M. in court records, the surviving roommates shared text exchanges around 4:22 a.m. on that fateful morning, expressing confusion and fear as they tried to reach the victims via phone calls. The documents also reveal D.M.’s distress over the intruder’s presence, described as wearing a ski mask. Following B.F.’s advice to seek refuge in her room, the pair waited until dawn to make a 911 call for help. The prosecution, in a filing dated February 24, intends to use these documents as evidence in the trial of Bryan Kohberger, a former 30-year-old Ph.D. student facing four murder charges in the case. Both roommates are expected to testify at the trial, as detailed in the court filings. The records also reference D.M.’s attempts to contact her roommates later that morning and a transcript of a frantic 911 call made when Kernodle was found unresponsive. The unsealing of these documents follows a warning issued by an Idaho judge to attorneys regarding excessive use of sealed filings, citing concerns for the public’s First Amendment rights. Kohberger was linked to the crime through DNA on a knife sheath, leading to charges of first-degree murder and burglary almost two months later. His silence during the plea entry process prompted the judge to issue a not-guilty plea on his behalf. The trial is set to commence on August 11.
