Former Bachelorette contestant Jason Tartick, 36, has added a new member to his family! Sharing the news on Instagram, Tartick announced that he is now a “family of two” after adopting a dog from Wags and Walks Nashville. He documented the heartwarming moment of officially welcoming the new furry friend into his life in a video set to Christina Perri’s “A Thousand Years.” The footage captured Tartick signing adoption papers marked with “rescue day,” followed by a sticker reading “Adopted with Love” being placed above the kennel of the golden retriever mix. As the pup was released and rushed into Tartick’s arms, the pair exchanged joyful embraces and plenty of affectionate moments, culminating in a happy photo beneath an adoption sign.
Tartick expressed gratitude to Wags and Walks for the meaningful adoption, sharing more images of his “new best buddy” and seeking input for a suitable name from his followers. Kathryn Hurley Dhall, Executive Director of Wags & Walks, praised Tartick’s decision to adopt and emphasized the transformative impact it has on rescue dogs. The organization revealed that Tartick first encountered his furry companion while volunteering at their adoption center in Nashville, where they instantly formed a bond. The dog, initially named “Rango” by the rescue, may soon receive a new name chosen by Tartick based on suggestions from well-wishers.
