Snoop Dogg has become a grandfather once again. The renowned rapper’s only daughter, Cori Broadus, has joyfully welcomed her first child with her fiancé, Wayne Duece. Broadus excitedly shared the news of her daughter’s birth on Instagram on Friday, February 28, along with a picture of her newborn’s tiny foot. In the caption, she revealed, “The princess arrived at 6 months. I’ve shed countless tears and felt guilt, comparing myself and blaming myself for not being able to provide everything she needed. But time and time again, God has shown me that He is always there for me!” She further expressed, “My baby girl arrived at 25 weeks today, and she’s absolutely amazing!! Thank You, God, for guiding me through this journey.”
Broadus candidly detailed her birth experience on her Instagram story, sharing a photo of herself from the hospital bed. She expressed, “The first c-section was a success. Shoutout to the man up above.” In another post, Broadus revealed that what she initially thought was just discomfort from gas turned out to be the development of HELLP syndrome, a rare pregnancy complication connected to preeclampsia. Symptoms of HELLP syndrome include blurred vision, fatigue, upper abdominal pain, and swelling, often necessitating an early delivery for the safety of both mother and baby. Broadus stressed the importance of listening to one’s body and not relying solely on social media for health advice, concluding with a personal note: “Ladies, please pay attention to your bodies and don’t believe everything you see on TikTok (speaking to myself too).”
In December 2024, Broadus announced that she was expecting a daughter, sharing her parents’ excitement during an interview with “E! News.” She revealed, “My mom and dad were over the moon – their baby girl is going to be a mom.” Reflecting on her dad’s reaction, she added with a chuckle, “Although, my dad was secretly hoping for a grandson.” Snoop Dogg, a father of four, shares three children with his wife and high school sweetheart, Shante Taylor: sons Cordé (born in 1994) and Cordell (born in 1997), along with daughter Cori (born in 1999).
