In the heartfelt clip, the 43-year-old can be seen with tears welling up in her eyes as she lies in her hospital bed, undergoing the process of having the final staple removed. Surrounding her are her loved ones, who offer words of encouragement, cheering her on with phrases like “You did it” and “Good job, Teddi.”

Earlier that day, Teddi gave her followers an update on her brain surgery, sharing a post alongside an image of her brain scan. She revealed that she had undergone the removal of four tumors the previous week. Expressing her gratitude for the skilled medical team who ensured the success of her surgery and made her recovery as comfortable as possible, she acknowledged that more tumors were removed than initially anticipated, totaling four in all. While acknowledging that her fight is ongoing, she expressed gratitude for the unwavering support and patience shown by her children, family, and closest friends.

The television personality’s health battle began on February 12th when she revealed her hospitalization due to severe and debilitating headaches. Following diagnostic tests, doctors discovered multiple tumors on her brain that they believe had been developing for at least six months. Teddi underwent surgery to remove a few of the tumors, with plans for further treatment involving radiation for the remaining growths.
This recent health setback adds to Mellencamp’s ongoing struggle with skin cancer, having undergone the removal of more than 17 melanoma spots over the years.
