In a city like Gotham, safety is the new must-have luxury. Protector, a new app, is set to provide New Yorkers with instant access to armed ex-military and law enforcement personnel to chauffeur them around town. While high-profile figures such as Elon Musk and Jeff Bezos have dedicated security teams, the average person faces challenges in navigating security options, according to Protector’s founder and CEO, Nick Sarath.
Protector offers everyday individuals the convenience of on-demand access to armed guards, with services launching in NYC and Los Angeles. The app’s base rate is $200 per hour for a Protector and driver, with costs varying based on the client’s specific security needs. Clients can select how their Protectors are dressed and choose from vehicle options like Cadillac Escalades and Chevy Suburbans.
Initially, users will need to book services a day in advance, but the app aims to offer even faster response times in the future. Sarath emphasizes that clients have the flexibility to decide whether their Protectors blend in discreetly or act as a visible deterrent.
Influencers Josie Francis and Nicole Agner recently showcased their experience with Protector through TikTok videos, highlighting the security and peace of mind provided by their Protectors. The selected bodyguards are seasoned professionals with backgrounds in elite military units such as Air Force Pararescue, SWAT, SEAL teams, and Special Operations Forces.
Protector aims to simplify personal protection by offering tailored security solutions to meet diverse client needs. With a focus on safety and client satisfaction, the app provides a unique blend of luxury and security for individuals seeking peace of mind in their daily lives.
“Preventing potential threats before they materialize, predicting risks before they worsen, and ensuring that those under my protection can navigate their daily routines without fear,” explained Jim, a Protector who chose not to disclose his last name due to security concerns. Jim regards his role as a Protector as a natural calling, attributing it to his extensive background as a former Los Angeles police officer with nearly three decades of service and a combat sniper in the Marine Corps. “Clients seek our services to establish a sense of safety and comfort without compromising their lifestyle. If they can concentrate on their personal affairs while I manage their security, then the mission is deemed successful,” he emphasized.
