Golfer Celebrates Incredible Shot on Mysterious Hole

Patrick Reed experienced a memorable moment on Friday when he achieved a hole-in-one on the renowned party hole at the LIV Golf Adelaide event in Australia. Early on in his round, the 2018 Masters champion teed off at the 12th hole, known for its lively ambiance and energetic celebrations, and saw his ball roll delightfully into the cup. With elation, Reed raised his arms in triumph as the spectators erupted with excitement. Many in the crowd tossed their beverage cups onto the course, showering Reed and his fellow competitors with beer.

“Patrick Reed, you little beauty,” proclaimed the commentators on the official broadcast. The 34-year-old proceeded down the fairway to the green, enjoying the applause from the spectators, exchanging high-fives with his 4Aces GC teammates.

Although Reed’s hole-in-one was a standout moment in his first round at The Grange Golf Club, he ended the day with a one-over 73, placing him tied for 37th after 18 holes. In addition to his hole-in-one, Reed recorded two birdies and five bogeys, encountering challenges in finding consistency.

England’s Sam Horsfield concluded the opening round with a one-shot lead after an impressive six-under 66, featuring six birdies with no over-par shots. The 28-year-old leads Chile’s Joaquin Niemann and Mexico’s Carlos Ortiz by one stroke, while Dustin Johnson, Bryson DeChambeau, and Abraham Ancer follow closely behind.

The all-Australian team Ripper GC, consisting of Lucas Herbert, Marc Leishman, Cameron Smith, and Matt Jones, failed to capitalize on the home crowd support, resulting in a combined score that placed them tied-ninth after the first round, 11 shots behind Torque GC in the lead.
