In-N-Out’s Surprising Move: Closing Irvine Office and Establishing Dual Headquarters

LOS ANGELES – In-N-Out, the iconic fast-food chain, has made a significant announcement regarding its corporate operations. The California-based company has revealed its plans to close its office in Irvine and redistribute its corporate workforce between California and Tennessee.

In a statement released on Monday, In-N-Out disclosed that a considerable number of its California corporate employees currently located in Irvine, Orange County, will be relocated to a new office in Baldwin Park, a city in the Los Angeles area where the company was originally founded back in 1948. The move marks a significant shift from the company’s longstanding presence in the Irvine office, which has been operational since 1994.

The relocation to the Baldwin Park office, situated approximately 40 miles northwest of Irvine and just a mile away from the first ever In-N-Out restaurant established by Harry and Esther Snyder, is expected to be finalized by the conclusion of 2029. In a statement, Lynsi Snyder, the owner and president of In-N-Out, expressed her family’s support for the move, emphasizing that it will bring the In-N-Out family closer together and enable them to better serve their customers, who remain the company’s top priority.

Furthermore, In-N-Out revealed its intention to open a new office in the Nashville area as part of its corporate restructuring. Following the closure of the Irvine office, corporate employees will be divided between the Baldwin Park office and the upcoming Nashville location, slated to commence operations in 2026.

The establishment of a dual headquarters signifies a significant milestone in In-N-Out’s growth strategy, with the company eyeing expansion into the Tennessee market. During a recent Nashville Business Journal event, Snyder hinted at plans to open as many as 35 new In-N-Out locations in Tennessee, with five sites already confirmed in the Nashville vicinity, as reported by the Tennessean, a member of the USA TODAY Network.

In recent years, In-N-Out has been extending its reach beyond its traditional California roots, venturing into states like Colorado, Texas, and Idaho. The closure of the Irvine office and the establishment of dual headquarters demonstrate the company’s commitment to strategic growth and expansion while staying true to its roots as a beloved fast-food institution.
