Ankle-Monitored Illegal Migrants Accused of Murdering Date on App!

Two undocumented migrants, one wearing an ankle monitor, are accused of killing a man in Chicago whom they met on a dating app. Jefferson Ubilla-Delgado, 29, from Venezuela, and Geiderwuin Bello Morales, 21, from Ecuador, have been charged with first-degree murder and robbery in connection with the death of George Levin, 63. The suspects reportedly used Levin’s credit card to make thousands of dollars in Amazon purchases after the crime.

The two men allegedly assaulted Levin, restrained him with duct tape and cords, and silenced him with a sock. Surveillance footage captured them leaving their apartment with duct tape in hand and later attempting to use Levin’s cards and phone at various locations. Levin’s sister, who lived in the same building, became concerned after hearing noises and encountering Bello Morales on the night of the incident.

Upon investigating, she found her brother bound and gagged in his home, and later discovered unauthorized purchases made by the suspects on his account. Bello Morales had a history with law enforcement, including a prior assault charge involving a young girl. The judge overseeing the case remarked on the heinous nature of the crime and ordered both suspects to remain in custody.

Bello Morales, who arrived in the US from Ecuador a year ago, and Ubilla-Delgado, who came from Venezuela about a year and a half ago, are scheduled to appear in court on Thursday.
