A 16-year-old boy fatally stabbed his family’s tenant, Byron Lema-Naula, 24, during a dispute over loud music in their Queens residence over the weekend, according to authorities and sources. The incident occurred on Sunday just after 6 a.m. at a multi-family home on 35th Avenue near 102nd Street in North Corona, where the teen allegedly attacked Lema-Naula in the neck following an argument about the blaring music and banging noises, as reported by the police.

The exact instigator of the quarrel remains unclear, as per the sources. The young teenager, whose name remains undisclosed due to his age, has been charged with second-degree murder and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon, law enforcement officials stated. Lema-Naula, who was reportedly renting a room from the assailant’s family, was swiftly taken to Elmhurst Hospital Center but tragically succumbed to his wounds, as confirmed by the police.

After apprehending the alleged perpetrator several hours subsequent to the incident, authorities have also filed charges of second-degree murder and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon against him. The boy, with no prior criminal record, appeared before Judge Bruna DiBiase for arraignment on Monday evening, where he was ordered to be held without bail pending the upcoming court appearance scheduled for Thursday.
