Rudy Giuliani’s Florida Condo and World Series Rings on the Line in Asset Trial!

Rudy Giuliani, the former New York City mayor, is facing a challenging week ahead as he deals with contempt charges and a trial to determine the fate of his Florida condominium and three World Series rings. Two Georgia election workers who were awarded $148 million in a defamation case against him are seeking to claim these assets.

Giuliani was found in contempt twice in one week, first by a New York judge for not fully disclosing evidence about his assets, and then by a Washington judge for making false claims about the workers’ involvement in the 2020 presidential election. The upcoming trial in New York will focus on whether Giuliani can retain his Palm Beach condominium, which he claims as his permanent residence, and whether he must surrender the World Series rings he says he gave to his son in 2018.

The trial, presided over by Judge Lewis J. Liman in Manhattan federal court, will proceed without a jury. Liman’s contempt rulings have set Giuliani at a disadvantage for the trial, restricting his ability to offer certain evidence. Giuliani has admitted to withholding information in the case, citing concerns about the scope of the requests made by the plaintiffs’ lawyers.

Giuliani, 80, has mentioned that his assets are tied up due to various legal proceedings in multiple states, although he maintained in a hearing that he is not financially distressed. Liman has requested input from all parties on the storage of the World Series rings until ownership is determined, with Andrew Giuliani’s lawyers stating that the rings are currently in his New York City residence.

The Florida property and World Series rings are the key assets under contention from Giuliani’s estimated $10 million portfolio, with the condominium believed to be valued at over $3 million. Giuliani has already relinquished assets such as a New York City apartment, a vintage Mercedes, and luxury items.

The case continues to unfold as Giuliani navigates legal challenges and disputes over his assets.

Workers Ruby Freeman and her daughter, Wandrea “Shaye” Moss, have emerged victorious in their defamation lawsuit against Rudy Giuliani. They claimed that Giuliani’s false statements regarding the 2020 presidential election being rigged resulted in death threats, instilling a deep sense of fear for their safety.
