2024 Hottest Year Ever Recorded by WMO!

BERLIN (Reuters) – The year 2024 has been officially declared the hottest on record by a spokesperson for the World Meteorological Organization, with a comprehensive report set to be released later today. The report will incorporate the findings of various regional climate monitoring institutes, providing a detailed overview of the global climate trends over the past year.

According to WMO spokesperson Clare Nullis, the report is scheduled to be unveiled at 5 p.m. Geneva time (1600 GMT) and will consolidate data from meteorological observatories in key regions including Britain, China, the EU, and the U.S. In a press conference held in Geneva, Nullis stated, “The WMO will later today confirm that 2024 was the hottest year on record.” She emphasized the unprecedented land and sea surface temperatures, significant ocean heat levels, and the occurrence of extreme weather events that impacted numerous countries worldwide, resulting in the loss of lives, destruction of livelihoods, and shattered hopes and dreams.

The alarming findings highlight the urgency of addressing climate change and its far-reaching consequences. As the world faces the repercussions of global warming, the data presented in the report serves as a stark reminder of the need for immediate action to mitigate the impact of climate change and safeguard the planet for future generations.
