He also posed the question, ‘Why not? What do you fear?’ This left me contemplating… What is it that I fear?”
Continuing, she queried, “Why does it provoke such astonishment, outcry, or sensation when a man chooses to adopt his wife’s surname? Women have never been interrogated regarding the relinquishment of their names — why does this not spark headlines? Men, your essence will not dissipate by incorporating your partner’s surname. Conversely, you will be remembered as a trailblazer for change. I am confident that our sons will hold their father in high esteem and admiration for leading through example.”
