Arrest Made in String of Car Charging Cable Thefts!

A man has been arrested following the theft of electric vehicle charging cables from a university site. They were reported missing from six machines at the University of Worcester’s Severn Campus on Friday. The university stated that despite the theft, it still maintains “ample capacity for students, staff, and the community for charging electric vehicles.” West Mercia Police confirmed that they are investigating a series of thefts of EV cables across Worcester and Bromsgrove.

The 27-year-old suspect, who was taken into custody on Tuesday on suspicion of theft, has been released on bail pending further inquiries. For more updates on this ongoing investigation, follow BBC Hereford & Worcester on BBC Sounds, Facebook, and Instagram.
