Three individuals have been brought before the court following the discovery of a significant amount of cocaine with an estimated value of £5 million in a vehicle on the A1(M) and a residence in North Yorkshire. Law enforcement officials revealed that a total of 21 kilograms of cocaine were seized when a car was intercepted at Scotch Corner on the 30th of November, with an additional 25 kilograms discovered during a search of a property in Easingwold.
Cy Suddick, aged 31, and Oliver Duncan, aged 20, face charges of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs, while Kevin Robinson, aged 49, is accused of being involved in the supply of Class A drugs. During a hearing at Leeds Crown Court on Friday, Mr. Suddick and Mr. Robinson were remanded in custody pending a plea hearing scheduled for the 7th of March, whereas Mr. Duncan was granted conditional bail. The trial is set to commence on the 2nd of June at the same court.
According to West Yorkshire Police, suspected cocaine was also confiscated from a property in Easingwold, as part of a collaborative effort involving the Yorkshire and Humber Regional Organised Crime Unit, West Yorkshire Police, and North Yorkshire Police. Mr. Suddick, residing in Henfield Way, Easingwold, and Mr. Robinson, residing in Roby, Merseyside, made their court appearances via videolink, while Mr. Duncan, also from Roby, was obliged to appear in person.
Following a brief hearing, Judge Richard Mansell approved Mr. Duncan’s bail request, subject to various conditions including a curfew and the surrender of all travel documents.
