Eight individuals sustained injuries on Saturday when a driver crashed a vehicle into a CarMax location in Inglewood, California. Two people were severely injured at the car dealership, while the remaining six suffered minor injuries, according to Jonathan Torres, a spokesperson for the Los Angeles County Fire Department. Video footage shared on social media captured the aftermath of the crash, showing a damaged SUV reversing into the building, followed by an employee quickly exiting the premises. The vehicle then maneuvered through a lobby area before exiting from the opposite end of the building. CarMax confirmed that the driver involved was a customer who had received a vehicle appraisal and was subsequently taken into custody. The company expressed gratitude for the prompt response from law enforcement following the incident. Although initial reports indicated a potential active shooter situation, Torres clarified that this was not the case. The Associated Press attempted to contact the Inglewood Police Department for further information on Saturday evening.
